The easy work-around: connect the audio out of your PC to the audio in of your home cinema or HiFi installation. That gives even better sound than the average TV.

The final solution (f not a hardware issue): settings, drivers, cables. But since you don't tell anything about the current settings, drivers and cables used I can't say more than that very general remark.
