HP Ipaq time zone changes the calendar times as well

Mar 13, 2005 5:29AM PST

I recently changed my Ipaq 1940?s time zone and it changed all my appointment times. I travel with my calendar and make appointments for the time I have the meeting regardless of the time zone I am in. If I change time zones I would think the Ipaq would alarm at the time the meeting was entered not change it to the new time difference. I have missed several appointments because I set my Ipaq for a new time zone (2 hour difference) and had my appointment time change by 2 hours. Is there anyway to keep this from happening?

You get a better appointment manager. The PalmOS version did the same and many replaced that one too.

one would not have to keep buying a new PDA to find one that is good. I should have stuck with my Palm.

Here it is... Datebk4.
Mar 13, 2005 8:55AM PST

"DateBk4 is timezone aware on any version of PalmOS. At any given time you can have Home timezone, a Current timezone, and a Create timezone. When you add an appointment by default it takes your Create timezone. If this is different from your Current timezone (or if there were appointments entered before you changed timezones) DateBk4 displays two columns of times, one for the Create timezone and one for the Current. So you can see instantly the time of your appointments where you are and where the other participants in your appointment are."

I wonder if there is a version for your new PDA?
