HP IPAQ rx 1955

by hhmsgold / September 16, 2008 3:42 AM PDT

I have an HP IPAQ rx 1955 that I have started having difficulty with. The touch screen is not calibrated correctly anymore and won't pass the "SELF TEST". Have any of you had this problem, and if so, how easy is it to correct? I don't want to pay HP for an estimate and find out it will cost more than a new one to fix.

Do I need to take out the old battery if it also malfunctions while plugged to the wall. Also, everything else works great! I do reboot it
every time I sync.

Look for other 5 buck dead ones and cobble together a good one? Sorry there are only about 3 to 4 parts in that unit so very little that can be fixed.
