This is what I found doing a Google search:
Everytime I shutdown I get a dialog box telling me that "hpcmpmgr.exe" is not responding. However, in a few seconds it will go off by itself without my having to hit the "end now" button. My computer only started doing this 2 weeks ago--never had the problem in the past.
Can I either delete this file or uninstall it (if it's an app)???? I don't want to get rid of something until I know for sure that it's OK. I'm assuming the "hp" and "mgr" part of the file name must mean that it's some type of Hewlett Packard management program, but I cannot find anymore info on it. Even though the dialog box disappears and the computer eventually shuts down on it's own, it naturally takes more time to shut down because of this.
Thanks for any help you can give me.......Gina
