Question

HP Gaming Laptops for $1000

Sep 7, 2016 12:07PM PDT

Long story short I have to buy a laptop from HP and I really need it to run computer games. I know there is the HP Omen but some reviews don't seem so good. Any help would be appreciated in finding a gaming laptop for around $1000. I don't want a touch screen (waste of money for me) and I would prefer getting something with an SSD although HP allows you to customize certain laptops so I could always put that in. Also to keep price down I'm looking at 15" instead of 17" but either work if the price is right and it can run any game off of Steam.

We upgraded to a 480+ GB SSD later (about 99 bucks).

https://www.amazon.com/GL552VW-DH71-15-Inch-Discrete-GeForce-Metallic/dp/B01578ZKPO is currently 999.
The 17 inch model is currently cheaper at

HP, for me would only be considered if free. The company walked on a warranty at 3 months and that was my last HP. They can not be trusted. On top of that my brother last year bought a HP and the power button fell off on unpacking. He knew my story and immediately blocked the credit card payment and returned it. He went to Asus next.

PS. 480GB SSD now on sale for 90.
