Notice the dv6000 is listed. I bet it's the same issue.

I have a HP DV9500 with a built-in webcam and when i try to use it with AIM it says that the webcam is being used by another application, when it isnt...does anyone know how to fix this? thanks
Discussion is locked
thats not the problem...i can use the camera in the hp webcam program and it works fine, the little blue light comes on on the camera, but when i try to do a video chat in AIM it says the camera is still being used in another application...
The HP webcam software does work. Nothing else does. Sorry to read you missed the solution. At least it's widely discussed. Hopefully it will soon dawn on you.
