You have to ascertain yourself whether you want to play any games on your notebook that require dedicated video memory. You can keep upgrading your desktop video cards but you can't do that in a notebook due to the proprietary nature of the motherboards, the space and heat issues (and the notebook bios).
Warcraft 3 is a fairly robust game so I would assume you would want at least 64mb dedicated video memory to run that and other games. 128mb is better but only available on a few notebooks and if you have a desktop that is not necessary.
The HP DV1000 is a 14" widescreen weighing about 5.3 pounds and it excels in portability, DVD and CD playing with the system turned off (for more battery life and it has a built in remote control). It is fine for Microsoft office and wi-fi surfing. It has only shared (integrated memory) however.
You can look up the Toshiba model for whether it has shared or integrated memory versus dedicated video memory yourself. The Toshiba M35 series has dedicated but many other models that are cheaper have shared.
There is a dedicated forum now for the HP DV1000 (brand new model out last month) that you can find the web address to at x1000forums.com .. this is a forum for the HPZT3000 and Compaq X1000 which are 15.4" widescreen Pentium M Cetrino notebooks with up to 64mb dedicated video memory. I have a Compaq X1360US ( a derivative of the X1000).
There are a lot of hpshopping discounts ($100 custom order rebate good through 12/1/04, 6% student APP, 3% fatcash, etc) that would apply to any HP notebook so read about these on the X1000forums and DV1000 forums once you locate that web address.
Also there is a zd7000forums.com for the large Pentium 4M 17" destop replacement notebook.
