You won't get fullscreen with a widescreen movie. Even with a regular movie, it's not going to be 100% full screen, so that the picture isn't distorted.
A lot of people say things about other things that aren't necessarily true. The best way to determine is to try it out yourself -- go to your local Circuit City or something and ask an associate about this laptop. They'd probably be happy to demonstrate the Quickplay feature.
I`m thinking of buying a HP dv1000 but I`ve read in a review that with the Quickplay you don`t get a full creen image when watching DVDs, and you can only get full screen image using windows.
I`d like to know if that`s true or not?
