I have a dilemma. We have loaded Windows 7 all in one of our machines as a beta test site. We have already encountered a conflict, or better said lack of sensitivity by Hewlett-Packard to prepare drivers that will except there older full scale DesignJet plotters. I have a DesignJet 2000 CP in to my knowledge, and to the knowledge will our CAD supplier, Windows 7 or better said, Hewlett-Packard has not revised the drivers for the DesignJet 2000 CP for AutoCAD 3-D.
I know in the technology world 10 years is a lifetime. However, when one invests more than $10,000 any device that has a service life of more than 10 years it is sad to see, and difficult to purchase a new large format plotter for the sole reason, Hewlett-Packard has not written or updated the drivers for the HB 2000 CP to accommodate Windows 7 in the AutoCAD 3-D environment.
If any of my brothers and sisters out there have experience the same dilemma and found a solution, and they give you to share it with me. Those of you who knew Hewlett-Packard plotters for what they were, can appreciate this.
