I have to plan ahead for multiple monitors. I do see folk that try to get DisplayPort (it's noted at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DisplayPort ) and then proceed into the tar pit of adapters. I don't follow them but nod to getting the right displays as they already tried adapters.
-> BUT MAYBE THE FOUR HOLES (not wholes) is the clue here. Read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Visual_Interface and see there are 5 or more DVI port types. You have the wrong display if the holes are missing.
I have with machine Display to DVI converter but the DVI part has no the 4 wholes and cannot put in it my dvi from the LCD Monitor.
What`s the solution ?
