If the printer is 2 or more years old this is one of the common failures.
But look at the date code of the cartridge and the date you have on the PC connected to said printer to be sure that is set proper. A few printers (I did not research the f4435) will reject old carts like this.
Hello. I recently bought a HP brand (HP 60) for my HP deskjet F4435 printer. I took the empty black ink cartridge out and put the new ink cartridge in. I closed the printer door and it still says i need a new black ink cartridge. So i put my other hp (also new) black ink cartridge in the printer and it also wasnt detected. I then put one of my older empty ink cartridge back in and it too showed i needed to put in a new black ink cartridge.
I cleaned the printer with compressed air. I used a cloth to clean the connector thingys. I retest the printer to factory settings. I tried to update the driver but it said i was up to date. Also, my color ink cartridge is detected.
Any tips or advice?
