I was actually responded to on another forum and was suggested to find an ethernet card for it...well, I did find it online for $30.
Here's the part....
Hewlett Packard J2552-60001: HP JETDIRECT BNC/10 Base-T/APPLETLK
Hewlett Packard Part Number: J2552-60001

I have a G4 Macintosh running OSX and I want to connect it to my DesignJet 755CM. I have had no luck using the ToeknRing connection (using the Ethernet-like jack..which I have subsequently read is obsolete) in the JetDirect card. I have also tired a USB to Parallel Serial converter with no luck. I want to try a firwire to SCSI converter next but would rather save myself the headache and find out if there is a way for the printer to get recognized.
It is my understanding I will need some type of converter that will convert the USB/Ethernet/Firewire connections (which is digital) to the anolog connections on this printer (SCSI, Parallel/Serial, 9 pin serial or the token ring)...
Also, I have downloaded and installed the OSX Driver from HP's site for this model.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeffster
