HP D7160 and Vista

Mar 19, 2009 12:12AM PDT

When I bought a new laptop with vista Home Premium a couple years ago, I had to buy a new printer, as HP was not going to provide any updates for my old Photosmart to make it compatible with Vista. I bought another HP photosmart because I had been so happy with my old one. The D7160 has consistently made photo prints that are over-saturated with yellow. I sent back the original printer and got a replacement, which also has the same problem. Even when I dial down the yellow dramatically in setup, I'm still going through yellow ink like crazy. Could this be a Vista problem, a Dell problem (Inspiron E1505), or is it truly the printer? Both CNet and users gave it a decent rating.
