So what would you recommend for a low budget gaming pc or that can run rust or at least old/newish titles? And for it's low price a good pc in general to start off gaming?

I just put together a non gaming rig, on paper, and it was $550.

If I wanted to game I'd have to add at least $400.

Gaming is expensive.

Processor: AMD AthlonII X2 Processor 215 2.7 GHz

That's the exact same thing I have on my low power Linux box as Sempron 145, except when both cores are activated like your's, it's called Processor: AMD AthlonII X2 Processor 215 2.7 GHz .

Graphics Controller: ATI Radeon 3000 graphics

Same onboard graphics chip I use. The best that can do is 720p videos on youtube, certainly not games.

Even if you had a faster processor, the graphics would defeat you anyway. The reviews on Rob's link are 7 years old, so "beast of a machine" doesn't apply now and in truth didn't even then. Notice the ad also says "high quality" in order to avoid saying "high definition" which the best it can do is 720p without losing frames,....maybe.

So what would you recommend for a really cheap gaming desktop that can at least run newish games like Arma 3 on mid settings? Or any desktop that's really cheap and runs decent?

nothing specific

Need to consider the parts. Look for Intel i5 with discrete graphics card with about 1 GB RAM on it and the motherboard should have about 8 GB of RAM. Those are the big 3 for gaming, the CPU, the graphics card, the RAM.
