HP Cameras

I have owned 2 digital cameras. Both of them are HP's. The first one was a 215 bought about 6 years ago. It was big, heavy, slow, and ate batts. as fast as you could put them in,(4 at a time). About 1 yr ago i got a M305. I got another HP beceause the price was right,(80$ with rebates at Staples and a 256 mb SD card for 20$). It is light years ahead of the 215. It is small, light, 10x quicker, and 2 batts last as long as 16 or 20 in the 215. I mostly take pictures to store my computer and cd's; sharing picts; and occassionally printing an 8x10. It works great for what i use it for.
Does anyone have any experiance with HP cameras?
I wonder who makes the lenses? I bet HP doesnt.

Of information regarding the composition of they're products. That would make for an interesting post because I am curious myself.
You'd thing that they would want people to know that so they could brag like the other manufacturers.

HP Cameras

In reply to: HP Cameras

I heard, some time ago, who makes the HP cameras but the name escapes me now.

It was a name from the past.
I associated the name with a company that used to make 35mm film cameras. It was never a big force in the 35mm camera world.

I was doing some checking and saw several instances where people said they could not get spare parts for an HP camera.

They assumed that HP does not do repairs.
It it breaks under warranty, they replace the camera.

If warranty is up, you have to buy a new camera.

................

Has anyone had any repairs done on an HP camera??????
If so, what was your experience????

Would'nt Hurt To Ask

In reply to: HP Cameras

I am going to e-mail HP about this. The worst that could happen is that they could tell me, but then they would have to have me rubbed out. I will get back with whatever they send.
