HP a6400f and Mozilla Firefox??????????

Oct 30, 2008 11:17AM PDT

Hi;
I recently purchased a HP a6400f Pavilion Home Premium Desktop,Intel dual core with 500gb Hard drive,3gbs, DDR Memory,Processor Spd.800Mtz. So much for that, My question is how do I get Adobe Flashplayer to work on my PC? I downloaded Mozilla Firefox and didn't like it so I uninstalled it. Now, I can't get Shockwave or Adobe FlashPlayer to work and my Internet Explorer Icon is gone off the desktop. Can you please help.

wrong area but..

for IE use the computers search... have it look under files & folders on the C: drive & just make a new short cut to the desktop.

Flash can be a pain in the *** sometimes, took me 1 week one time to get it going Silly

just re-install Flash takes like 10 sec or less to download...

if flash does not work the 1st time I find it helps to reset IE to defalt... control panel > internet options > advanced.. on the bottem a button click "rest"

It works, at lease for me 90% of the time... if it is still not working it is something else, like some sercirty function.... that when it can take hours sometimes...

But I'll try to assist anyway.

First, go to adobe.com and check to see if you have flash, etc. installed correctly. It's a very intuitive process with the links being apparently from their splash screen if I recall. Just follow the prompts as necessary to re-install or upgrade what you have now.

To recreate an IE7 icon, click on Start > All Programs

You should be able to see the IE icon in the list somewhere. Right click on this icon and select 'Send to -> Desktop (create icon)'

Enjoy,
Pedro
