I have a four month old hp9005us with a Synaptics touchpad running Windows XP. It has worked flawlessly until recently. I was using the computer, turned it off and disconnected it to clean it. Vacuumed off the keyboard and touchpad, closed it up to clean the outside including the bottom, hooked it up and started it up. The right click button now seems to be stuck in the up position. Seems like something is underneath the center of the right button because if you push down on the right side of the button, sometimes it will make contact but it won't depress all the way like the left one. I called HP and they said the touchpad is defective and I should send it in. Any ideas on something I can do first? Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks in advance.
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
