Well, verizon just recently changed their network where there is no longer any roaming charges. And if you look at their coverage maps, the all-digital rate area, is just as big, if not the same size as their entire network including the AMPS (analog) which verizon has almost completely wiped out. I travel with my all digital phone (Samsung SCH-A670) all the time, even in what I would consider rural areas, and I have never been off of verizons digital network. Plus the anolog signal is crap. It completely draines your battery. There is an area in virginia that I drove through a year ago with my old tri-mode phone, and it went into analog mode. I drove through the same area two days ago and the signal was full strength and completely digital. I hope this answered your questions.
I am looking to get a new phone for my Verizon Service I am looking at the LG VX7000. I have heard that this is an all digital phone and as a result will not work in areas where there is no digital service. Does anyone have this phone or others that are all digital and if so how is the reception?
Thanks
