How ToTurn This Off

by jlippincott / March 22, 2007 8:11 AM PDT

My screen saver was frozen when I came back to use my computer and I found out that helpsvc.exe was using all my resources. I never use that so how do I shut it off? Also, what does cmdagent.exe do?

Thanks for the reply!!!!
I have the latest service pack (XP service pack 2). I currently chanaged the setting to manual but do I really need this at all?
I'm thinking of disableing instead because I never really need it.
I'm also thinking of shutting off automatic updates as well because I'm never informed (since installing Service Pack 2) of updates and I have to check periodically at the Microsoft website.

Yes, that was what some noted.

The patch didn't work for some and they opted to disable this.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
