The basic process is as follows. There are countless guides on installing Windows out there so I won't bother repeating much of what they already cover.
Step #0: Make sure you have located all the necessary drivers for your hardware
Step #1: Boot from the Windows 7 DVD
Step #2: Follow on screen instructions
Step #3: Install all the drivers you collected in Step #0
Step #4: Make sure you install all updates to the OS that have been published to date
So a friend of mine told me i could install windows 7 enterprise for free. Should have known better because now my computer is saying windows isn't genuine and I just want to take it off and install a new operating system. Problem is I bought a windows 7 home edition upgrade for my netbook and it will not let me update from enterprise to home. If I need to buy a whole new operating system that's fine I just want to know for sure how to do it or if I can before I have to spend the money. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
