i would like to use smart vizio tv as monitor for windors 7 laptop via wifi... it works ok on hdmi...

With that out of the way the speed is too slow for gaming and video work. The solutions such as MiraCast are out there, well discussed so I'll note MiraCast and not duplicate the web on that.

If this is for movies or gameplay, you'll want Wireless HDMI and gamers will scream as the input lag soars.

a HDMI cable as the speed issue from distances is eliminated. Your never going to get the performance wireless (with technology today) that you will wired. Someday you might but that isn't this year especially I hear they are working on HDMI2.
