How to use HDD from broken laptop on new laptop?

by cabrown32010 / May 27, 2015 10:36 AM PDT

I would like to either use my old HDD from my broken Toshiba Satellite P875-S7102 laptop on my new Toshiba Satellite S75-B7218 or somehow transfer files from old HDD to new laptop's HDD. I need to save all files, but I am okay with reinstalling programs if need be.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
