how to upscale in UE55HU8500 TV

by brilltv / June 1, 2015 4:50 AM PDT

I have the tv Samsung UE55HU8500 (UK version) and i want to upscale picture to 4k picture. I can't see option for this in setting anywhere. There is an option HDMI UHD COLOR which say will optimise picture but not sure this is it also this is for hdmi only. I want to upscale image for hdmi and other content/connection. This option is avilable as is on specs also i did check manual but can't find it.
Thanks will appreciate any help.

It has to upscale by default.

Since a non-upscale would not fill the screen, any full screen image was upscaled.

is it auto

So does this mean anything/video will automatically be upscaled. Ican't turn it on or off.

In short there are a lot of pixels.

Is the image was not scaled up, you would see the image surrounded by black area. HOWEVER some folk think this will improve an image. That's not quite true as it only magnifies the existing image.

OK, so does the image fill the screen? Yes? It's been scaled up.

I can't imagine any 4K that would turn that off.
