Question

How to upgrade HP Omen

May 4, 2019 5:21PM PDT

Hi, I’m fairly new to the hardware involving laptops and desktops so I just have a few questions.
I just bought an HP - OMEN 15.6" Gaming Laptop-Intel Core i7- 12GB Memory-NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti- 1TB Hard Drive+ 128GB Solid State Drive - Shadow Black and I’ve been editing some pretty long videos like 30-40 minutes and it usually takes about 5 hours to render the video. Is there anything I can upgrade within my laptop to make the render go faster.

OK, for what you have I'd max out the RAM, bump the 128GB SSD to that new Intel SSD. I saw it last week at under 200USD for a 2TB M.2 drive. The HDD should be changed out as well. Last week we replaced an 1TB HDD with 1TB SSD for 120USD.

At hours to render I wonder if you are working 4K video?
