It's one of those riddles. Without knowing the make, model of the phone as well as other details you can never be sure if it can be done or if you lose features. For some, text and data fail and it becomes a dumb phone.

I know many consumers don't want to do the work but it is work.

One last problem. Beware paying by credit card for unlocking web sites. Many are scams.
