Question

How to unlock a scanned jpeg to print it?

I want to print a scanned image. But it says Locked next to .jpeg. The word Locked is greyed out and the option Lock is not selected in the info window!! I succeeded in opening the little lock icon at the bottom right of the info page: first Comd+i, then I changed all Sharing and Permissions to Read and Write. Finally clicked on the little lock. It opened and a window appeared on my Desktop asking for my computer Password, for the Finder to make changes. After I did that. It was locked again when I tried to print. Does anybody have a clue?
I'm working on a 2013 iMac OSX Lion 10.7.5
I don't have Photoshop. Thank you in adance
