There isn't a built-in equivalent of the Add/Remove programs utility for OS X. It is quite safe to go ahead and drag the applications to the trash. This will leave behind the preference folder for each application but unless you have a problem with disk space, should not be a concern. However, they live at: HD/Users/yourname/Library/Preferences (where yourname is the name of the account you have on your machine)
Find the folder that relates to the program you just deleted and drag it to the trash too.
To find anything else with that name, do an Apple + F and type in the name of the program. you might come up with some more stuff. Just drag to the trash.
Hope this helps
I have several programs that I downloaded & installed from CNet Downloads. How do I cleanly remove them? Is there an equivalent of Windows' Add&Remove Programs in Mac? Or can I sinply drag them to the trash?
