How to uninstall Earthsim

by iamthe7throse / June 15, 2007 3:49 PM PDT

I've tried the conventional uninstall method. Using a Compaq Presario 6470NX and running Windows XP Home. A download of some ATI thing was made on my desktop. I was able to uninstall 'Steam' which came with 'Earthsim', but, Earthsim will not be uninstalled. Please, clue me.

A tool I use...

Look for ADD REMOVE PRO on google.com. Try it's uninstall, if that fails ask ADD REMOVE PRO to remove the item from the add/remove list. Now delete the Earthsim directory in "Program Files" and then the shortcuts and menu items.

That's a "manual uninstall."

If did a search, then deleted everything it found, would that be the same thing?

Yes. We call that a manual uninstall.

Purists may jump in and write about hunting down items in the registry but if you wanted to remove it, it is 99% gone and good enough for most of us.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
