How to Uninstall 4Sync?

by morlaine / May 30, 2012 10:24 AM PDT

Somehow this piece of software got installed on my computer. I have tried everything I can think of except using Regedit to uninstall it and nothing works. It wouldn't uninstall itself. When I tried through the Control Panel, 4sync opens and the control panel says it is open and must be closed before uninstalling, I close it, it opens again, and the infinite loop continues with the bottom line being, it never uninstalls. I contacted 4sync Tech Support and explained what I had tried and they wrote back and told me to try those very same things. I got the feeling it was an automated response because it certainly wasn't helpful. I doubt that they even read my email. I tried contacting them a second time and have never received a response.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, morlaine

Employ Windows Task Manager to End Its Process

Hi, morlaine there.

Before you starting removing 4Sync, you can try to disable it at Startup or on WTM. Moreover, you can google the video guide for 4Sync uninstall and follow more tips in the blog entry.

Comments about uninstalling 4Sync

4Sync was not in the Startup Menu but it always started when I turn my computer on.
I tried running the 4sync uninstall and it looked like it worked, however the next time I turned my computer on, it would start up again, so it obviously was not uninstalled.
Trust me I worked on this over a period of days. And if memory serves, I tried everything mentioned on the blog except one particular step.

Finally, I uninstalled it by changing the register file. That seems to have worked.
I'm disappointed there wasn't an easier answer than changing the registry. That can be very dangerous.
Thanks for the reply. I guess this issue can be closed.

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
