How to turn off shuffle mode?

Dec 21, 2009 8:22PM PST

A friend of mine recently purchased an iPhone and he has a little problem with it. iPhone always plays the MP3 songs in shuffle mode. He doesn't know how to turn off this mode. He just want to simply add an album manually and play it by the file name listing (1,2,3,4).

Thanks in advance for any input.

Go to any song on your iPod, and in the top-middle right, there are two blue crossed arrows. This means Shuffle is on, and on the opposite side, top-middle-left, there is a circular loop of two arrows for repeat.

2. Tap the album cover.
3. Tap the crossing arrows to enable or disable Shuffle. If the arrows are blue in color, Shuffle is enabled.
4. Same applies for the Repeat icon on the left.
