Question

How to translate a 120 page txt file

by wivercr13 / November 9, 2015 10:18 AM PST

HI there

I own Babylon Pro version 10 on my computer. I am trying to translate a 120 page document from English to Spanish. It contains some slangs and local words on the content.

When I tried to translate the whole document it does it nicely, but I am noticing that some pieces are not understandable or not correctly translated, like how the sentence is written or words, verbs or some phrases not understandable.

Do I have to download any special dictionary or do any customizations to Babylon Pro software? or any suggestions?

Regards
Juan

Machine translation is limited. Yes there have been great advances but you are seeing the limitations and are now ready for a more professional translation.

For our office we push the documents through like that but since we eventually have legal concerns about wording the final document is gone over by our human translator.

Only those very new to machine translation would think this can be done by a machine today.
