Question

How to transfer contacts saved to phone to Google Contacts?

by dc023 / November 1, 2011 10:37 PM PDT

I accidentally set my phone to save new contacts to the phone rather than to my Google Account and I recently changed phones. However, because some of the contact details were saved to the phone they did not transfer along to my google contacts.

How can I transfer the contacts from my phone to google (I know how to get them from google to my new phone)?

Thanks,
Dan

Answer
It varies with the phone.

Here on my HTC Evo 4G the app is called "People" and you bring that up and you tap the Menu button. On the bottom right of the popup is "Import/Export".

Try that.

I've tried various export options on there but I'm not 100% sure I'm doing it right.

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
