how to tell iphoto 5 not to import duplicates?

Oct 11, 2009 4:00AM PDT

I wanted to import photos in iphoto 5 but it doesn't pop up a dialog box asking if I wanted to import duplicates unlike my previous version. How do I make iphoto show this dialog box again?

Hey Mr Macfixit, you're a genius, I have been looking for weeks to end the problem of duplicates, even downloaded Duplicate Annihilator, which helped a bit, but didn't resolve the problem everytime I imported new photos - but this - yay!!! Sooooo simple. Thanks a million
