How to tell between Pirate or Genuine Copy of Win XP Pro?

by Caddy / March 28, 2005 10:23 AM PST

Can anybody tell me how do I find out if my Windows XP Pro is really a pirated copy or genuine copy?

My parent bought Windows XP Pro from oversea.
Because it cheaper then here In New Zealand. It cost them only $5:00 US for the Dice.
Now I?m a bit worry because I?m not to sure if it a pirate copy or a genuine copy?
It only came with the Case and the CD within a case is a Product key, and there is no Documentation or a Guide book or anything?s.

The Disc doesn?t look like a original either it look like a copy disc (CD-R)

I?m currently using Win XP Home and I wish to upgrade to Win XP Pro so before I go any further need you guys? advice/advise first. Thanks and I appreciate for any help.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
