Question

How to take focused photos though fiber scope?

May 6, 2015 4:12PM PDT

Hello, everyone.

I have troubles in using fiber scope and digital camera.

I am trying to take focused photos of objects with my digital camera which are seen through fiber scope, but focusing doesn't work properly.

What I am trying to do here is to get as large focused image as possible on my camera display.

What I've got so far is either a small focused image or an unfocused large image.

I am totally stuck here for days now.
Does anyone know how to do it or have any tips to do it?

Here is the things I have tried:
-See the object with the digital camera and fiber scope.
Result: focused but small image

-See the object through the digital camera fiber scope with a close-up filter on.
Result:somewhat large but unfocused image.

-See the object with the digital camera and fiber scope with optical zoom function placed in a close range.
Result:still a little larger than the first one and focused.

-See the object with the digital camera and fiber scope with optical zoom function placed in a long range.
Result:still large but unfocused.

Somebody please help me.

Thank you!

Answer
Can you use manual focus?

It's imaginable the automatic mode doesn't work so well.

So, does manual focus seem to be the only option to solve this issue?
Unfortunately, my camera allows me to use automatic mode, thoughSad

I wish to know the solution.

Just a tip.

As I can't find the make/model camera I can only take your word on this. And given the limitations you should get back to the maker of this system to ask for fix or exchange for a system that meets your needs.

Small world. Just yesterday I had a fiber optic camera in my nose. It's definitely not a HD (high definition) system. I imagine that folk new to such imaging systems would be put off by the grainy video.

Thank you for your tips.

I use Galaxy Camera (EN-GC110) and the third party fiber scope trying to get a clear image through the scope.
I have not yet succeeded on capturing.

Maybe, I should try other methods to d this...

If anyone know how to do it, your tips would be highly appriciated.

Thank you!

Example video from fiber.

http://tinyurl.com/nx2s5qq shows what we expect from fiber cameras. These are not used for 1080p or megapixel clear shots. They are to get in where you usually can not.

I'm running into folk that expected megapixel in focus shots.
