How to stream multiple videos, one video after another WMV

I need code for an HTML page, to embed a video (such as WMV or MPEG).

Immediately after the video has finished playing, I need it to proceed to a different video. I have a total of 8 different videos, and I want all the videos to play consecutively and automatically with no user intervention.

I did find this userful tool online, to embed _one_ video into an HTML page. But this tool is not really useful to me, because I have a total of 8 videos to play consecutively.

As a work-around, I could merge all 8 videos into one new video, using windows movie maker. But that would take too long!

Any ideas?

While it may not be WMV, I see google now has a feature to keep playing videos one after another. You can view source on their page for clues.

And a cheap trick method.

Think about this. You know the run time of the video. Could you use a META REFRESH statement to go to the next page with the next video?

Wow, that's a lot of bandwidth

Anyway, the easiest way to go about this is to learn a bit about Advance Stream Redirection, the Windows Media file format. An ASX file is actually a XML file that acts like a playlist, which WMP (among others) will recognize. If you open up an ASX file in Notepad you'd see something like this:

<asx version="3.0">

<title>Short Announcement to Play Before Main Stream</title>

<param name="aParameterName" value="aParameterValue"/>
