Question

How to store wireless data and then send over GSM?

Dec 2, 2015 3:58AM PST

I have two buildings within 100 meters. I called them and building A building B. Between buildings A and B is two audio channels and one data channel. In building B I need laptop/PC with relevant software to store this data and forward on GSM when it needed. What kind of software I need for laptop/PC and How can I forward stored data over GSM?

This is unclear.

- You talk about "this data" without telling what data?
- What is 'wireless data'?

You might be able to send data from a PC or laptop with Windows or Linux if you have a GSM dongle. Do you have that? But it seems easier to transfer those data to your Android phone and send it from there if it must be sent over GSM. Or even easier: copy it to dropbox (from building A or building B) and send only the download link with your phone (that's a short message you can do as SMS or via whatsapp).

Dropbox and a little creativity could make this simple. Any good IT staffer can whip this up in hours.

Hi data on PC1 is in S/PDIF format. I can't use dropbox for security reasons. Maybe any other suggestions? Thanks

Then you can't use the internet for security reasons.

Looks like you'll have to get your IT to design a non-internet solution. Usually folk can encode/encrypt decode/decrypt the file on Dropbox. But here you if you have a security reason that means an internet transfer is out.
