Question

How to stop cnet email spam on my computer?

What is the best way to stop unwanted email from your site?

I clicked unsubscribe from approx 10 of them but one doesn't have that option, it merely states to click Newsletter subscription center and/or "manage my subscriptions" which only gives me the option to subscribe to more, not unsubscribe from any and all, with the click of one button!.

I have a feeling they will continue for quite some time until my hand hurts.

Do I just not login to the email account that I set up for potential spammers for a year until the account closes itself, or is there an easier, ethical way to do this as witnessed on other sites?

Thanks in advance...365 and counting....

Hi 1novice!

Let me help you here.

Can you tell me what kind of emails you are receiving from us that you would like to stop are they newsletters, forum alerts, comment alerts, etc?

Can you describe these emails from us?

I looked into your CNET account and it doesn't look like you are subscribed to any CNET Newsletters, so that can't be it.

Let me know so I can take care of this for you.

Cheers,
-Lee

ah OK, thank you for that information!

Given the list a few of them are part of welcome series that will help familiarize yourself with CNET and all that we offer. And the others are the newsletters that you opted in for.

Regardless of what those are, are you still receiving any more CNET newsletters? I did check your CNET account and you are not subscribed to any newsletters anymore. Can you confirm that you are still receiving newsletters from us?

Let me know. Thank you.

Looks Good

August 5th was the last one I got, so I'm ecstatic.
