Question

How to start windows 10 without setting a password

Apr 9, 2018 5:49PM PDT

Windows 10 installed on my laptop. I would like to be able to boot up to the desktop without using a password to log-in.
It windows 10 makes you establish and use a password to get to the desktop. How can I get rid of or workaround this function?
Thank you!

How to start windows 10 without setting up a password
Apr 11, 2018 2:58PM PDT

Thank you for replying to this post.
I was trying to find a way for my spouse to start the windows 10 laptop and allow it to boot up to the desktop without the need to enter any password. That would be the ideal situation for us to not need any password log-in to get to the desktop.
Is that possible to setup on a windows 10 machine?

Only if it's a local login.

If you use the email login I have yet to find a way to avoid the password. This is by design to keep folk from using your account to order apps that cost money.
