Re: starting a business

That depends on the kind of business. But it should allow you to have a solid business plan, showing that you know what to sell, how to make or buy it, how to sell and service it, to whom, how to get customers, what legal rules you have to adhere to and, of course, that you'll earn money in stead of losing it.

Right business at the right job

Hi suraj2783,

I agree with what @Kees_B has said it all depends on your business idea you need to make sure your business is genuinely helping people out like it solving their problem. secondly you need to make sure you have the right infrastructure to support your company and that can only be achieved with the right productivity plan. make sure your collaboration and communication is at best both with your customers as well as your employees you can use teams, staffhub & sharepoint for this. i'm saying this because the concept of brick and mortar office is gone and has been replaced with digital workplace allowing you more flexibility and efficiency in terms of your work.

The first step is to get the approval from your Residents’ Welfare Association. As mentioned above, a NOC is also mandatory in case you are put up in a rented accommodation.
Next, you have to apply for a Shop and Establishment Licence from the concerned municipal authority.
Once a property is marked as commercial, it would be treated as a commercial property for all purposes, which includes paying more as property tax.
Even the water and electricity charges will be levied based on a commercial property.
Thus, it is advisable to weigh the additional cost of taxes before converting a home into an office just to save the rentals.

Re: property

The above steps might only be applicable in India, since that's where the link went to. Then it's irrelevant for inhabitants of other countries.

You will certainly need to get well-organized. I needed an organizer and actually came across CRM systems. Most of them were just business contact management tools. I also wanted some project management and emailing. My friend recommended CRM in Outlook, which I use.

Good luck!
