how to speed up dvd writing.

hi,

is there any way to speed it up? i have sitting there for 32minutes.
takes same time when using either nero or ashampoo at their maximum speed 16*.

system specs:
windows xp sp3 in a hp dx2300, 512mb, duo core 3.6 ghz.


any help will be appreciated.

While we can use the fastest drive and media we can find, some tasks take hours as the video is made into a DVD video and then put to the media.

whether its mp3's or movies in any format, it takes the same time.

i don't convert them..
'copying them' in the same format they are.

(basically its getting all the stuff i need for future use from the computer to a dvd, without changing their format)

After re-installing the O.S two weeks ago,, things worked out fine!! 6mins is the longest it has taken so far. So anybody with the same problem, try out re-installing your os.
