How to set defauly font in MS Word?

Oct 31, 2005 10:19PM PST

I prefer Arial as my usual typeface - however MS word always wants to use Times New Roman. There must be a way to change the default, but I'm darned if I can find it. A pointer to the right setting would be appreciated.

1. Find normal.dot (use Explorer or see in Word options, file locations).
2. Open it in MS Word.
3. Change the font of style 'Standard'
4. Save it as template again.

That's all. If you would like more details visit the appropiate hits of http://www.google.com/search?q=word+default+font+normal.dot&meta=

May I conclude that, where-ever you looked for an answer, you forgot to look in google. Even if you don't know that it's in normal.dot http://www.google.com/search?q=Word+change+default+font&meta= gives the answer immediately.
