How to save some Images from a slide show?

Sep 24, 2005 6:06PM PDT

WinXp.
I have received a file from a friend of mine which has a wmv extension. I would like to save some of the photographs of this slide-show file on a different folder----how it could be done.

You can see the suggestions made to a fellow user last month by clicking here. I suggested using a screen capture utility (free or paid), while Joe, one of our moderators, suggested a program designed for such activities. Either way, still images are forthcoming.

Hope this helps,
John

Ultimately I am satisfied with ....

I used ultimately windows movie maker to open the wmv file. And then did the rest.

I played the video file in IrfanView at half size to get the hold on to play and stop the video. Right click copy on this still picture copies only a part of this picture in the second window of the IrfanView.

If I play the video in the WMP (window media player) I get a totally blank window in the paste window. I have used clipboard recorder free program that can record copy paste 100 times. So virtually I failed print screen way.
