Question

how to run a macbook pro with widows 7 only?

Aug 31, 2011 2:03AM PDT

Hi, till afew days ago, i had two OSs on my macbook pro: X and window 7.
in order to get rid of pressing option key at every start up and since i wouldn't work with OS X, i formated the hard disk and installed only windows 7.
but now still i have to press option key at windows start up, otherwise the system will not boot.
how can i get rid of this pressing option key at strat up?

Boot Camp is required to run Windows

Windows uses a BIOS, the Mac hard ware does not have a BIOS.

As noted, Windows needs a BIOS machine (still)

As Apple uses the newer EFI (see google) you need a little assist from bootcamp.

I found this to be a non-issue here. Your post sounds like the consumer I ran into that didn't like how a machine booted with a BIOS. "I don't want to see all that."
