How To Reverse Cooling Pad's Fans Air Flow?

On the Targus Chill Mat for Laptops Model PA248Y03U, how could I reverse the fans to blow out instead of the air sucking in. I try to reverse the black and red fans wires but it didn't work.

It's not easy.

But since the polarity doesn't work you'll have to disassemble it and see if the fan can be physically flipped.

How To Reverse Cooling Pad's Fans Air Flow?

Been their, after trying to switch the polarity, flipping the fans are physically impossible. The fans two wires are connected to a vary small circuit board, design for 4 USB Ports, 1 Fire Wire and a AC Ports, Both supply power the fans. Their something in that circuit board that is not allowing the reversed polarity to work. Can you crack this?

Absolutely.

But here I have drills, chisels, epoxy, fans from other projects and in fact why can't we make our own cooler from the parts?

Funny thing you said that, I done that, I took the Laptop/Cooling Stand Adjustable Rubbermaid/Rolodex 82410, added three 2.4 inches computer fans, one small DC12V 300mA power supply and it's still working since 2006.

Got same issue. Can I buy one that Reverses ?

Got to be someone out there that makes a reversible fan.

My new laptop happens to suck air up from the bottom an out the side.
My old cooling pad sucks from it's top. So this cooling pad would fight the one in the laptop.

The orig poster F4rO and I can't be the only ones with this issue.

Can anyone provide a link to a cooling pad that can reverse the air flow direction ?

The issue would be the cost.

The motors are now so cheap that they are optimized for one direction. That's why we have to get in there with tools, chisels, drills, epoxy or just make our own.
