- Start>Run>MSCONFIG, OK.
- Go to the Startup tab
- Uncheck the line that starts this program.
- Save and reboot.

Windows won't try to start this non-existing program now, and there will be no error message.

You have a virus infection
by MarkFlax Forum moderator / June 15, 2008 6:43 PM PDT

This looks like a virus/worm as described here; http://www.sophos.com/security/analyses/viruses-and-spyware/w32sohanar.html
Click the "More information" tab on that page for more.

If you are running an anti-virus utility it is likely that discovered the worm and quarantined or deleted it, but it has made changes either to your Startup list or your Registry, or both.

See if you can follow the removal instructions in the Sophos guidance above. If not, head over to our Spyware, viruses and security forum for more help. They ave the experts.

Good luck.

Mark

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
