How to remove my computer, my document icon from taskbar

Can anybody suggest, how to remove my computer, my document icon from taskbar. Let me give you more details:

* It appears near sistray.
* do not suggest, drag and drop as i tried it.

- How did you put it there? It's not standard Windows.
- What's a "my computer, my document icon"?
- What do you mean with "near the systray"?
- What OS (I suppose XP, since that's the last OS that used the word "systray").

click the start menu
Right Click the My Computer(XP)/Computer(W7) entry and uncheck the "Show on Desktop" entry

Rinse and repeat for the Documents entry
