uninstalling and reinstalling office on another pc

thank you. I will wipe the drive.
my question, not clear, was : will I be able to install Office 2003 on the next PC I buy? How do I make sure of that?

There is a license rule: can only install OFFICE on one PC. I am laying rest the PC on which I first intalled Office, how do I do so in a manner that will ensure Office somehow? knows that I have uninstalled and allow me install anew on another PC?

tks much

You can try it.

Install the application and see if it will accept the product/license key.

If not, give Microsoft a ring, they have a free-toll number for activation issues. This from Microsoft's web site;

"Telephone contact numbers vary by license and country/region. In step 2 of the Activation Wizard, use the number provided to call the Microsoft Activation Center"

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HA012334341033.aspx

If it works, you're good to go.

don't yet have the 2nd PC (moving... will buy later)
but helpful, most, to know have activiation support.
called MS before posting question here and told $50 aprox to talk to someone as MS 2003 now old. I will assume this is not true for activation support.
MERCI!

If you do just a little more research

You find out why some antivirus programs flag it. It is not a virus but some don't like software that reveals what's there.

Well discussed.
