Resolved Question

How to reinstall trackpad software?

Nov 7, 2011 1:29AM PST
Using Dell Inspiron 1521. Lost (?) the software that permits me to scroll a webpage by running my finger alongside the edge of the trackpad. (The icon that used to appear in lower right hand corner of screen has also disappeared...)

My trackpad still works fine to move the cursor, and to click. The only problem is the ability to scroll using the edge of the trackpad, and the icon. (TV Screen, showing cursor movement).

I have no clue what it's called, whether it's lost or hiding somewhere, or how to get it back.

Thank you for any assistance!!!

I had not downloaded the driver; didn't know the object was, or ran off a driver. Went to Dell.com and easily found and downloaded the driver. It all works fine now. Thank you for your assistance. -Bob
