how to reformat/wipe clean WD mybook external hd?

by dannyz344 / February 28, 2009 4:17 AM PST

I recently downloaded something with a virus in it onto my 80gb my book and now it's messing everything up on my computer. I am wondering if there is a way to manual reformat
it or something of the like to get rid of the virus.

I can't access the Internet and I can't open the my book but I can right click and explore it(if this info helps)

I'm not sure if it did, I'll keep looking for one. it seems when I connect the mybook it messes with explorer and doesn't let me access the Internet so I reformatted my pc.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
